ENGL 110 - Introduction to Workplace Communications

(3.0 credits)

This course introduces students to professional and interpersonal communication in the workplace. Students will learn to organize information, write clearly and persuasively, and adapt messages for different audiences and situations. Assignments include business letters, memoranda, resumes, cover letters, presentations, bibliographies, and reports.

Prerequisites: Domestic students: “C” in English 12 or equivalent; completion of ENGL 099 with a C or 100-level placement on the Writing Assessment. International students: “C” in English 12 or equivalent; or 6.0 IELTS writing band.
